So much of what we believe and practice today in the Christian community has its origin between the years 1000 to 1500 BCE. This course walks the student through a comprehensive study of the major historical events of the first half of the second millennium. In this course students will study the Crusades, the origin of Roman Catholic Religious Orders, the impact of the Reanaissance on the Church, various aspects of the Protestant Reformation and the development of early Protestant denominations.
The course consists of over 12 video lectures that features comments and teachings from some of the leading scholars in Church History found anywhere in the world. The course is a sequel to two earlier courses, The First Five Hundred Years of the Church and the Second Five Hundred Years of the Church. The course is designed to be self paced so that students can move at a rate that is comfortable for them. This is one of the best courses on Church History that you will find anywhere.
