This is an amazing exploration into what is was that provided the incentive and motivation to launch the Modern Civil Rights Movement by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.. By exploring the role of faith and theology, we are able to recognized some of the major factors that gave Dr. King the courage and tenacity to press forward in the face of danger and threats to his own life. This course interviews some of the leading scholars of the day along with many of the people who were involved in the movement to answer the question of what was the role of the Christian religion in the makeup of the civil rights movement. This course is intended to be an exciting journey for anyone who has an interest of the impact of Dr. King upon the fabric of society in the middle of the 20th century.
